Hi everyone!

First off - congratulations!

Quick update about me: I'm working as a production editor for Wiley-Blackwell publications. I start full time tomorrow and we'll see what happens. I took the job to gain management experience and to bulk up my resume a bit - remember, I'm a young'n with a sad CV.

More important part of the update: I am continuing to work on a website I created this year for Joe Blatt's class. It's called "Shakepseare: Sound + Fury" and it uses audio and video clips to help teach kids Shakespeare. Problem: I need clips! So if you're going to be directing/producing/designing for/starring in/etc... any Shakespearean plays in the coming months, PLEASE send me a holler! I would love to get some audio clips of your actors and maybe a bit of video. Due to legal speak, I would prefer teens or adults who are able to give their permission for use. I'm willing to do some traveling to accomplish this, so please, if you know of anything, let me know! FYI, I added a tag called "Requests" for this post... It didn't seem to fit well anywhere else and I feel like we'll all have requests at some point...

Also, I have all of my commencement photos posted on facebook, but you can also peruse them here:

Hope everyone is enjoying the post-master's "what do I do now?!" weekend. I sat on the beach for two days and will be starting my job with a sunburn. Delightful! One final note, on this topic: Anyone staying in the city or thereabouts this summer is always welcome down to Revere for some beach fun, and if there's interest, I would be happy to host a bbq/beach day/woo hoo we're grads party later this summer. Drop a comment if you'd be interested!

Just testing out this fancy shmancy thang. I have nothing to update you all on, but I'll check back in when I do. See you all tomorrow!

A quick update on me

Wish I had a master plan these days! Mostly, I’m hanging around Somerville this summer. I’ll be singing at Tanglewood, playing some ultimate frisbee, and going to a conference or two, and trying to do this "networking" thing, and applying to jobs. We’ll see what happens! I don’t really know what the coming months will bring, but I’m excited to spend some real time figuring out the next move.

I’d love to hang with folks who are in the area. I can be reached at: jonas.cartano@post.harvard.edu or jcartano@mac.com.

Tanglewood Festival in Lenox, MA

  • July 12, 8:30pm - Mahler's Second Symphony
  • Aug 2, 8:30pm - Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin
  • Aug 22, 8:30pm - Beethoven's Mass in C
  • Aug 24, 2:30pm - Beethoven's 9th Symphony

What is everyone else doing after graduation?! How can you be reached?!

Getting Started

Here's a few simple instructions...

Post a new item - in the upper right corner, click on "new post."
  • Just go for it! Put in a subject and start writing.
  • After typing your post, please make sure to "label" (often called "tag") your posts so that it helps to categorize posts.
  • In general, if it's a new thread or something that should be listed under one of the major labels (listed under "labels" in the right column), these items should be a new post.
Reply or comment on a previous post - directly below the post, click on "comment."
  • In general, use the comments only if it's in direct reference to the post. If the reply is more tangential, we recommend starting a new post (perhaps hyperlinking to the related post and labeling it appropriately).
Questions? - If you've got any, please feel free to send an email to Jonas
